We combine the experience of a large firm with the personal attention that only a small firm can provide. Our clients come back to us year after year because they know they are in good hands. We work to develop long-term relationships; whether your needs are simple or complex, we can help.

Our People

I am a Washington State native CPA who graduated from the University of Washington with academic honors. My favorite things include hiking in our serene woodlands, climbing the spectacular glaciers of Mt. Rainier, displaying my inspiring nature photographs, and my Golden Doodle, Monty.  My beloved daughter is my greatest pride as she realizes new successes in her own life including three children.

I apprenticed under exceptionally talented tax experts dedicated to their clients who continue to offer me technical support. I have worked with industry giants like Wards Cove Packing who operated 13 fisheries in Alaska, and Fryer Knowles who won competitive bids doing construction for the Bremerton Navy and Safeway.

I was fortunate to meet a talented CPA auditor and start an Accounting and Tax partnership helping local Renton businesses and neighbors from 2000 to 2015.

After a short hiatus publishing two Science Fiction novels, I updated my skills working with local CPA firms on the latest significant tax issues and IRS procedures and reopened my own business. Our History

The original firm, Carol Johnson CPA, began with general accounting services for businesses and individuals. This developed into strategic planning for individual wealth maintenance, minimization of tax liabilities for individuals and corporations, auditing, and consulting services. We believe in "old school" principles, but we also believe in keeping up with the needs of individuals and businesses in this rapidly changing world.

Our Credentials

Our firm participates in the Peer Review program prescribed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Oklahoma Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Board of Accountancy Washington State. Our firm was last reviewed in June 2013. The resulting report stated that all of our accounting practices and procedures complied with or exceeded the standards of the industry.
